The best seasons for Phachermo Peak Trek & Climb:
The best times for trekking and climbing Phachermo Peak are spring and autumn/fall seasons. Spring begins from March to May, and autumn from September to November. Springtime with longer sunny days, is the best season for treks and climb, as well as for stunning views of mountain range.
However, cold mornings and in the shade as well as the nighttime, can expect snowfall sometimes. Autumn from September to November one of the best times for treks and climbs, most days are fine and clear.
But shorter sunlight hours, much cold morning and late afternoon until nighttime. Can expect snowfall sometimes above 3,000 m high on walks and climbs.
Geographical Landscapes & Vegetation:
Nepal is a landlocked country with the world’s highest peaks and mountain range known as the Himalayas’. The country with five categories of landscapes from the lowlands of the Terai belt. Which extends from east to far west, then towards north starting with Siwalik / Churi Hills. Then stretches to the Mahabharata range of high mid-hills and continues towards higher hills and ridges, known as Greater Mahabharata. The landscape then ends with a massif of mountains, the Himalayas, or an evergreen snow range of peaks.
The treks and climb of Phachermo Peak take you around the Far North Mid-East of Central Himalayan range. In between Dolakha and Khumbu districts.
The area around Phachermo Peak is enclosed by an array of snow-capped peaks of Rolwaling areas, and Khumbu Himal.
The vegetation is mixed with rain and alpine forest, the mid-hills covered in rhododendrons, blue pines, and firs. Includes oaks, hemlocks, and magnolia with some bamboo grooves. Higher above 3,000 m the tree lines drop for short alpine bush of juniper and azalea.
Religion, Cultures, and History:
Nepal with two major religions Hinduism and Buddhism, mostly populated by the Hindu’ of approx. 70 %. Includes Buddhism of 25 % the rest 5 % are other minor religions. But the higher hills and mountainous regions are inhabited by Buddhist followers. On this trek and climb to Phachermo Peak, trekkers will come across villages filled with Buddhist monuments and monasteries. The Rolwaling and Khumbu areas natives are the descendants of Tibet. Where all heritage and cultures till the present are linked with the Tibetan predecessors. The history of the Rolwaling and Khumbu Sherpa’s migrated to Nepal Himalayas, dates back as early as the 6th to 7th Centuries.

It is one of the most exciting and adventurous climbs in the least ventured country. The trek leads you to scenic Rolwaling Valley, enclosed by towering snow peaks.
Few groups of trekkers and adventurers seldom visit this wonderful high country, blessed with charming scenery. The adventure takes you to high green hills covered in lovely forests to reach Rolwaling Valley at Beding village.
Explore the traditional old villages festooned with colorful Buddhist cultures.
The adventure then follows to the far end of Rolwaling Valley to the last settlement of Na-Gaon towards Tsho-Rolpa. A scenic glacial lake remains frozen most seasons and from here to our destination. A steep climb takes you to top of the Tashi-Labtsa La Pass, close beneath Phachermo Peak.
Phachermo Peak stands at 6,187 m / 20, 417 feet above the eastern end of Rolwaling Valley. As well as close to west Khumbu around the Everest region, the climb begins after a good preparation with acclimatization days. The climbing of Phachermo Peak summit graded PD, which means ‘Per Difficult’, a straightforward ascent to reach the summit.
Encounters a few technical difficulties to cope, all climbers need to be well equipped. The climb begins after setting a base camp close to Tashi-Labtsa La Pass, heading off for the big climbs. Slowly, the walks lead on a snowy field to the foot of Phachermo Peak, the real adventure starts. Then follow our expert guide, being roped for safety measures until you reach on top.
After a strenuous climb on the snowy slope to the summit of Phachermo Peak. From the top rewards mind-blowing views of surrounding giant peaks, and then back to base camp. The adventure continues downhill to reach the western end of the Khumbu area at Thame village.
After a pleasant stop in Thame visit of an old monastery, the walk heads towards green vegetation and tree lines. Reaching the famous Namche Bazaar and down to Dudh Koshi River, the last day trek reaches Lukla.
From Lukla, a short flight brings you to Kathmandu after an exciting and wonderful adventure on Phachermo Peak Trek & Climb.
