The best seasons for Rolwaling to Everest Base Camp:
The best times for this wonderful adventure are spring and autumn/fall.
Spring season begins from March to May, and autumn from September to November. Spring season has longer sunny days and is the best season for treks and climbs, as well as for stunning views of the mountain range.
But cold mornings and in the shade until nighttime, expect snowfall sometimes. The autumn starts from September to November, and it is one of the best times for treks and climbs when most days are fine and clear. But with shorter sunlight hours, much cold morning and late afternoon until nighttime.

Geographical Landscapes & Vegetation:
Nepal is a land-locked country with the world’s highest peaks and mountain range known as the Himalayan range. Have five categories of landscapes from the lowlands of the Terai belt. Where a scenic and serene Tsho-Rolpa Lake located at the end of Rolwaling Valley. The mid-hills and above 3,000 m higher are enriched with lovely forests of rhododendrons, blue pines, and firs.
Include oaks, hemlocks, and magnolia. Above 3,900 m, the tree lines drop for short alpine bush of juniper and azalea. The adventure takes you glacial Tsho Rolpa Lake and towards the famous Everest Base Camp via beautiful Gokyo Valley.
Religion, Cultures, and History:
Nepal has two main religions, Hindu and Buddhism, with most Hindus’ of approx. 70 %. The Buddhism of 25 % and the rest 5 % are other minor religions. But the higher hills and mountainous regions are inhabited by Buddhist followers.
On this trek around Rolwaling Valley and the Khumbu region of Everest, visit the nice villages of Simi-Gaon and Beding. Inhabited by the Highlanders the Sherpa of Rolwaling and Khumbu as far as Eastern Himalayas. Trekkers will come across villages adorned with prayer flags, mani-walls, and monasteries.
The Sherpa are the descendants from Tibet, their heritage, and cultures are linked with their Tibetan predecessors. The history of the Sherpa people and migration around the Nepal Himalayas dates back to the 6th to 7th Centuries.

Rolwaling to Everest Base Camp via Tashi Labtsa and Reno-La Pass includes crossing the last Cho-La pass. Overall, the three pass a dramatic and adventurous traverse from picturesque Rolwaling Valley to reach the scenic Khumbu areas. The first and the highest to cross is Tashi Labtsa-La at 5,755 m / 18,881 feet. Leading west of Khumbu around Everest, Tashi-Labtsa-La forms the boundary of Dolakha, Rolwaling Valley with Khumbu and Everest region.
The second pass leads over Renjo-La at 5,360 m /17,585 feet from the quaint village of Thame. From Renjo-La enters a picturesque valley of lakes of Gokyo, enclosed by stunning scenery of towering snow-capped peaks.
Enjoying time at Gokyo, adventure then it leads to cross the last final over Cho-La Pass 5,420 m / 17,782 feet. A rugged rocky pass covered in ice and snow sometimes, the path descends towards Everest Base Camp.

The walk leads back into the green forest around Tengboche Monastery as the walk heads to Namche Bazaar, the hub of Khumbu villagers.
