The best seasons for Kyazo-Ri Trek & Climb:
The best times for the trek and climb of Kyazo-Ri Peak are spring and autumn/fall. Spring begins from March to May, and autumn from September to November. Springtime with longer sunny day, the best season for treks and climb, as well as for stunning views of mountain range. Cold morning time, and in the shade until nighttime, can expect snowfall sometimes.
Autumn begins from September to November is one of the best times for treks and climbs, when most days are fine and clear. But shorter sunlight hours, much cold morning and late afternoon until nighttime. Trekkers can expect snowfall sometimes above 3,000 m high on walks and climbs.
Geographical Landscapes, History & Vegetation:
Nepal a land-locked country with the world’s highest peaks and mountain range known as the Himalayas’. Have five categories of landscapes from the lowlands of the Terai belt. Extends from east to far west, and towards far north, starts with Siwalik / Churi Hills. Stretching towards Mahabharata range of high mid-hills and continues towards higher hills and ridges, known as Greater Mahabharata.
The landscape then ends with a massif of mountains, the Himalayas, or an evergreen snow range of peaks. The treks and climbs to Kyazo-Ri East Peak leads you around Nepal Far North Mid-East Himalaya range. Located around north-west of Khumbu region. The Kyazo-Ri Peak is well hidden amidst an array of snow-capped peaks with Kwangde in the south. The Kyazo-Ri Peak falls on route to Gokyo Valley and Renjo-La Pass, as well en route Nangpa-La Pass.
The boundary between Nepal and Tibet / China, the Kyazo-Ri Peak is unknown to many adventurers and trekkers.
The peaks can be seen en route Renjo-La pass or heading straight to the base of Kyazo-Ri Peak. Which makes this climb more special, Kyazo-Ri peak was opened for climbing from 2002 onwards. The first (official) ascent was made that year by a Franco/British team. The route used from Machermo close to Gokyo Valley, traversed the Kyazo Glacier and climbed via the Southwest Ridge. From the same route climbed in 2003 by a French team. In 2003, a Dutch team climbed the Southwest Ridge route after failing on an attempt from the east face.
In 2005, an American team climbed the more difficult Southeast Ridge.
They established only two camps to reach the summit, from then on there have been a few attempts to the summit of Kyazo-Ri Peak. Likewise, an Australian in 2005 and an American in the spring of 2006, a Korean (perhaps), and possibly others.
The vegetation around high Khumbu is filled with lovely forests of rhododendrons, blue pines, and firs. Includes oaks, hemlocks, and magnolia. Above 4,000 m the tree lines drop for short alpine bush of juniper and azalea.

Religion, Cultures, and History:
Nepal with two major religions Hinduism and Buddhism, mostly populated by the Hindu’ of approx. 70 %. Includes Buddhism of 25 % the rest 5 % are other minor religions. But the higher hills and mountainous regions inhabited by the Buddhist followers. On this trek and climb of Kyazo-Ri Peak, trekkers will come across villages stepped with Buddhist monuments and monasteries.
The Sherpa are the natives of Everest and Eastern Himalayan range, descendants from Tibet. Where heritage and cultures are linked with their Tibetan predecessors. The history of the Sherpa people and migration to Nepal Himalayas dates back as early as 6th to 7th Centuries.
Overviews:
Kyazo-Ri Peak, located on the far northwest of Khumbu and Everest region, is seldom frequented. As well as unknown to many trekkers and climbers, Native Everest invites all enthusiastic adventurers and climbers. For the classic climb to Kyazo-Ri at 6,186 m / 20,296 feet high. But on some maps and with NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Expeditions), the altitude is listed as 6,151 m.
Nevertheless, it is best to use NMA heights rather than from the previous climbers, since the peak was open for climbing from 2002.
The climb to the summit of Kyazo-Ri Peak, trekkers can enjoy taking several routes from the Gokyo Valley. After Gokyo leads to cross the high Renjo-La Pass to reach the base of Kyazo-Ri Peak takes more than two weeks. To make the climb to Kyazo-Ri Peak shorter and more accessible is walking west of Namche Bazaar.
The Kyazo-Ri Trek & Climb begins with a short flight from Kathmandu to Tenzing & Hillary Airport in Lukla. The walk starts on a gradual path through Sherpa villages adorned with religious monuments of prayer walls and stupas.
Slowly, the walk enters Sagarmatha National Park, listed in World Heritage Sites. The walk follows higher terrains to reach the famous Namche Bazaar, the hub of Khumbu villagers and trekkers.
After Namche Bazaar, on the trail towards Kyazo-Ri base camp via a small settlement of Mende. Reaching the base of Kyazo-Ri Peak, our tented camps are set and then adding two more high camps. It is necessary due to the nature of the challenging climb to the summit of Kyazo-Ri peak, with technical difficulties.
The climbing grade is PD+ means per difficulty with plus, as used from the famous French & Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification. The climb starts after a full preparation, having rest for acclimatization practice exercise.
The climb begins after setting Advance / High Camp as well as adding Camp-I at 5,700 m / 18, 700 feet. After a tough struggle tackling the technical sections, and then reaching the summit of Kyazo-Ri Peak.
