The best seasons for Chulu East Peak Trek & Climb:
The best time for trek and climb of Chulu East Peak are spring and autumn / fall seasons. Spring begins from March to May, and autumn from September to November. Spring time with longer sunny days, the best seasons for treks and climb, as well as for stunning views of mountain range. However, cold morning and in shade as well as the night time, can expect snow fall sometimes.
Autumn from September to November one of the best time for treks and climb, most days are fine and clear. But shorter sunlight hours, much cold morning and late afternoon until nighttime. Can expect snow fall sometimes above 3,000 m high on walks and climb.

Chulu East Peak Trek & Climb is an adventure to the summit of Nepal’s highest trekking peaks. Chulu East Peak stands high above scenic Manang Valley at
6,584 m / 21, 601 feet. As listed by NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association), the climbing grade of PD + means ‘Per Difficult’. The grading is used from a well-known French / Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification. A straightforward climb with some technical difficulties to encounter. Chulu East is one of the main peaks within the group of Chulus range, the Chulu West, Chulu East. Includes Chulu mid and the Far East Chulu peaks, located on the remote pockets of Manang Higher Valley.
Where trek leads from the main popular Annapurna Circuit trail, and then heads towards sheer mountain wilderness. Trekking towards the isolated areas of Manang region to reach Chulu East Peak for the exciting adventurous climb.
After a long and interesting drive from Kathmandu reaching the cooler green hills of Manang at Dharapani. Where our adventure to Chulu East Peak Trek & Climb starts heading due North West. The trail follows the Marsyangdi River upstream to its glacial source at Manang Valley.
The walk leads through several nice villages adorned with impressive cultures of Buddhist heritage. On reaching scenic Manang Valley to Pisang village, after days of walking on the main popular route of Annapurna Circuit. From here our true adventure begins heading towards sheer mountain wilderness, on leaving the mainstream route of the Annapurna circuit. The climb takes you higher above the Manang Valley to the last settlement of Julu. Then the walk heads towards the base of Chulu East Peak. Located on a remote corner in between towering groups of Chulu peaks within remorseless fields of ice, snow, and glaciers.
Having time for acclimatization, and practice climb, then start the final ascent to the summit of Chulu East Peak. A great feat to achieve with few technical sections to negotiate, before reaching on top of Chulu East Peak summit.
Enjoy the jaw-dropping panorama of the surrounding giant peaks of Chulus, Pisang peak with Annapurna Himalaya range towards the south. After a great successful and safe climb and completing our major highlight and goal. The rest of the walk is on the easy gradual trail to join the main trail of Annapurna Circuit. As the walk follows to the main Manang village, an exciting and interesting place to enjoy and explore around.
Leaving the Manang village as the route follows at the end of Manang Valley to reach Phedi. At the bottom of Thorang-La Pass, a strenuous long climb takes you to the top of Thorang-La Pass. From the highest point of trekking overlooking stunning views of towering mountain range that encircles the Thorang-La Pass.
Slowly the adventure leads toward beautiful areas of Mustang district at Muktinath, a religious, holy pilgrimage site for the Hindus.
As walk continues towards the wide Kaligandaki River Valley to reach Jomsom, where our trek concludes. Jomsom is a large town and headquarters of Mustang district, located on the ancient Trans Himalaya Salt Trade Route. From here a short and swift scenic flight takes you to beautiful Pokhara city. A lovely spot to complete our wonderful adventure, after a great marvelous experience on ‘Chulu East Peak Trek & Climb’.
Morning catching last views of Annapurna Himalaya with majestic Machhapuchare Himal or Fish Tail, and then transfer to Pokhara airport for smooth short flight to Kathmandu. Back within the hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu after a great adventure and wonderful experience on Chulu East Peak Trek & Climb. Rest of the day at leisure for individual activities and shopping souvenirs or join in for short tour around places of great interest.
Day 20: Free day in Kathmandu and to submit climbing report.
After a great adventure around Annapurna Himalaya and Manang area with climb of Chulu East Peak. A free day to relax as well for individual activities and shopping souvenirs, as well to submit report of the climb to respective Government Tourism Department.
Day 21: International departure, homeward-bound.
Last day in Nepal as per your international flight time, our staff and guide transfer you to the airport for homeward-bound. After a great time and adventure
on Chulu East Peak Trek & Climb around the Annapurna Himalayas.
